Rather than cite extracurricular activities and relate any outstanding characteristics, I’d like to write about one of my great passions which I think defines me-my essence and my view and why I should receive this scholarship.
Stamp collecting, bird watching, and photography: I have tried them all. In efforts to find a satisfying past time, I have engaged in several hobbies. Stamp collecting was too expensive, bird watching required too much patience, and photography failed to fulfill me. I did find a particular interest in the jigsaw puzzle. The unfinished and challenging task of the jigsaw puzzle is inexplicably appealing to me. Only later did I realize that my interest in puzzles was part of a much larger spectrum. Each jigsaw puzzle has its own unique distinct piece that makes that piece vital to the completed masterpiece. Like jigsaw puzzles, mysteries are appealing challenges which result in the ultimate reward: truth.
